    The Council of the City of Hudson will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in the Meeting Room (second floor) of the Town Hall on Ordinance No. 16-54, authorizing Tax Increment Financing between the City and Hudson City Schools for the Downtown Phase II project. Downtown Phase II will make use of an underutilized portion of the downtown and capitalize on emerging market opportunities such as the need for downtown office and residential space. A copy of Ordinance No. 16-54 is on file in the office of the Clerk of Council and is available for public inspection during normal working hours. Related documents are posted on the Public Hearings page.

    The Council of the City of Hudson will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in the Meeting Room (second floor) of the Town Hall on Ordinance No. 16-44, amending the Land Development Code and Codified Ordinances regarding agricultural use regulations, including a minor revision to the allowance of the limited number of horses on residential property; easing of the setback and landscape standards for agricultural uses; and allowance of a limited number of chickens on residential property. A copy of Ordinance No. 16-44, with Planning Commission's recommended amendments, is on file in the office of the Clerk of Council and is available for public inspection during normal working hours. Related documents will be posted on the Public Hearings page when available.

  2. Friends of Hudson Parks: Community Service Day

    Hudson Community First, in partnership with the Hudson Kiwanis and Friends of Hudson Parks, is sponsoring a community-wide service day. We invite local youth, Hudson families, and other organizations, teams, and individuals to enjoy a day in Hudson’s parks while helping plant flowers and remove litter and invasive plants. In addition, various non-park-related volunteer tasks will be slated. The event is planned by the Community First HHS youth board. Volunteers will team up at Veterans Way, Hudson Springs, and other local parks to complete various community service projects. It’s a great opportunity for students and organizations to earn volunteer hours. Gloves, bags, and educational materials will be provided for all participants. To cap off the day, the Friends of Hudson Parks will host a cookout for volunteers at Veterans Way Park with complimentary food, beverages and, activities.
