  2. Fire Buffs Memorial Muster 2014

    September 7, 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM @ Grell Pavilion at Barlow Farm Park

    The Western Reserve Fire Museum and the Hudson Fire Department will hold their 5th annual Bill and Ida Varnes Memorial Antique Fire Muster on Sunday, September 7. The free public portion of the Muster will kick off with a parade at 12:30 pm. The parade starts at Barlow Farm Park, proceeds through downtown Hudson and returns to Barlow Farm Park. Good viewing can be had on SR 91 from Barlow Road to Prospect Street. There will be dozens of current and historic fire vehicles including Hudson's 1859 Hand Pumper, 1928 Seagrave and 1948 Mack. Following the parade the trucks will be on display at Barlow Farm Park from 1 to 3 pm. Come and see the antique trucks demonstrate their drafting and pumping capabilities at pond.

    The City of Hudson is kicking off the planning process to create a new Comprehensive Plan. The plan will guide the City's long-term planning and will act as a guide on important issues such as land use, housing, parks, infrastructure, transportation, and more. The Comprehensive Plan will be community-driven, and this is the first of several outreach events. This workshop is specifically geared toward business owners and managers. The purpose is to allow people to voice what they value most about the community and the issues they would like to see addressed.

    Officials from the Cities of Hudson and Stow will host a second public information meeting to discuss the improvements at the intersection of SR 91 (Darrow Road) and Norton Road. Representatives from the design consultant, URS, will be there to discuss the proposed improvements.
