Public Parks
Mission and Introduction The mission of the Hudson Parks Department is to acquire park land and to provide the citizens of Hudson with a park system for the conservation, preservation and enjoyment of their natural environment and to facilitate the usage of the pavilions, trails, playgrounds, fields, lake and other aspects of the park land. There are currently 20 Hudson Parks. The 1182 (which includes the golf course’s 103 acres) acres offer opportunities for active and passive recreation, as well as conservation and preservation. Some of the activities available at Hudson parks are fishing, boating, bocce, sand volleyball, disc golf, ball fields, soccer fields, community garden, skate park, playgrounds, hiking trails, grills, picnic tables and pavilions. Operating personnel include the Parks Superintendent, Maintenance Supervisor, Executive Assistant, Maintenance Technicians and a summertime maintenance crew and booth attendants.
