Police Community Programs:BIKE REGISTRATION: All bicycles in your family should be registered so that they can be tracked in case of loss or theft. COMMUNITY-ORIENTED POLICING: The Hudson Police Department continues ongoing effort to establish a collaborative relationship with the community through various programs, including speaking at community organization meetings or making special presentations. Call 330-342-1800 for more information. EAGLE EYE TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM: Hudson residents can encourage traffic safety in collaboration with Hudson Police Department by monitoring and collecting data on speeding vehicles in their neighborhoods. Call our non-emergency police line at 330-342-1800 with this information. FINGERPRINTING SERVICES: Fingerprinting is available to Hudson residents and those working within the city free of charge. Fingerprinting is done on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. HUDSON TEEN PROGRAM: The Hudson Police Department Juvenile Officer and Youth Worker offer chaperoned, structured and entertaining activities to Hudson youth in grades six through eight. These events include “Haunted House Nights,” “Carnival Nights,” and trips to Fun’ n Stuff. Contact HPD at 330-342-1800 for more information. JUVENILE DIVERSION PROGRAM: The Juvenile Diversion program provides a second-chance for first-time juvenile offenders of misdemeanor crimes. They are offered the opportunity to meet with our Juvenile Officer, rather than go to Juvenile Court. The youth offender signs a contract to refrain from continuing delinquent or unruly behavior. Counseling and/or community service may be scheduled. For more information call the Hudson Police non-emergency number at 330-342-1800. SAFETY TOWN: This popular annual
summer program is designed for pre-kindergarten youngsters to teach basic
street safety skills. The program is conducted by Hudson Police, Fire
and EMS. SENIOR WATCH VISITATION: Hudson Police Officers are paired with senior residents who live alone and/or whose lives are seriously impacted by a disability or debilitating chronic illness. Officers make brief visits on a regular basis to participants in the program, checking on their safety, security, and well-being. For more information about this program, call 330-342-1800. TIPS Line: Hudson Police offer a special phone number for citizens to make anonymous reports of criminal activity or suspected criminal activity for which an immediate Police response is not required. Call the TIPS Line at (330) 342-1820. TOBACCO INTERVENTION PROGRAM: The HPD Youth Worker teaches an educational program about the health risks associated with cigarette smoking. Young people who have violated Hudson’s smoking/tobacco usage ordinance are required to attend the class in lieu of paying a fine. VACATION WATCH: Hudson Police
will keep an eye on homes when residents go away on vacation. Residents
who will be away from home for one day to one month can pick up and complete
a card at the Hudson Police Station, indicating their address and how
long they will be away. Officers will check their home regularly during
