Mission and Introduction

The mission of the Hudson Parks Department is to acquire parkland and to provide the citizens of Hudson with a park system for the conservation, preservation, and enjoyment of their natural environment and to facilitate the usage of:
  • Fields
  • Lakes
  • Pavilions
  • Playgrounds
  • Trails

There are currently 20 Hudson Parks. The 1,128 acres offer opportunities for active and passive recreation as well as conservation and preservation. Some of the activities available at Hudson Parks are fishing, boating, bocce, sand volleyball, disc golf, ball fields, soccer fields, community garden, skate park, playgrounds, hiking trails, grills, picnic tables and pavilions.

  • Boat Storage at Hudson Springs Park - Currently we have a waiting list to rent boat slots at Hudson Springs Park. The attached application provides more information.
  • Fishing at Hudson Springs Park - Hudson residents can fish for free. Non-residents pay a $10/day fee before they fish at the City office on Georgetown Road. There is also an annual fee a person can pay to fish year round. One fishing permit covers Hudsband, wife and kids up to 16. 
  • Friends of Hudson Parks - An independent, non-profit organization not affiliated with the Hudson Parks Department or Park Board.
