An application has been received for the construction of the Highfields Event Center, a conference and special event center to be located at 1940 Georgetown Road north of the KGK Garden and Design Corp. offices and landscaping facility. The proposed project includes the construction of a 6,150-square-foot event hall, a 300-seat outdoor lawn venue, and a large outdoor plaza area with space for a temporary tent.
Please note there is no set completion date for this project.
August 21, 2018: KGK Gardening and Design Corp. broke ground on the Highfields Event Center.
June 11, 2018: Application was received for reapproval of a conditional use permit and a site plan approval for an event center due to expiration of the conditional use and site plan approved on June 8, 2016. The Planning Commission approved the conditional use and site plan.
January 5, 2017: Zoning plans approved.
June 8, 2015: Planning Commission approved site plan and conditional use.
