The City of Hudson secured a grant from the Ohio Turnpike Infrastructure Commission (OTIC) to construct a new stormwater detention (dry) pond located north of the turnpike, off Valley View Road. The project design & permitting has been completed and the contract bid earlier this summer. Construction will be commencing later this Fall. The project includes the construction of a new embankment and outlet structure to control runoff prior to entering into the Brandywine Creek Tributary . The work is scheduled for completion by November 2020.
Project Update November 17, 2020
Due to wet site conditions, this project’s construction will be postponed to the Spring, 2021. The final schedule will be determined after site conditions have been confirmed to be suitable for the proper earth moving and compaction requirements.
