Valley View Road Detention Pond Project

Project Description

The City of Hudson secured a grant from the Ohio Turnpike Infrastructure Commission (OTIC) to construct a new stormwater detention (dry) pond located north of the turnpike, off Valley View Road.  The project design & permitting has been completed and the contract bid earlier this summer.  Construction will be commencing later this Fall.  The project includes the construction of a new embankment and outlet structure to control runoff prior to entering into the Brandywine Creek Tributary .  The work is scheduled for completion by November 2020.

Project Update May 7, 2021

The Valley View Storm Water project was postponed, due to weather, in late 2020.  The project is now scheduled to begin construction in late May, weather permitting.  The project includes the installation of a dry, storm water management basin adjacent to Brandywine Creek to help reduce runoff to downstream properties.  The duration of the project is approximately one month.
