Take advantage of the City of Hudson's pumpkin and gourd composting bin provided by Rubber City Reuse at City Hall (1140 Terex Road) from October 30 - December 30 as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
The free temporary compost drop-off at City Hall is for collection of holiday waste including pumpkins, gourds, mums, and cornstalks only. The local company Rubber City Reuse offers subscription-based service for residents who are interested in composting other types of common household waste. Visit https://www.rubbercityreuse.com/ for details about signing up for individual pickup or drop-off service.
Pumpkins and gourds can be dropped off in the bin located in the City Hall back parking lot. Painted pumpkins and gourds can be composted but any candles or other non-compostable items need to be discarded in your trash at home prior to dropping off the pumpkin-related items.
