2015 Comprehensive Plan

On January 19, 2016 Hudson City Council adopted an update to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is the official guide for land use and development for the next 10 – 20 years, detailing a long-term vision and policy agenda for important issues in land use, housing, parks, infrastructure, transportation, and more. A focus of this update is a plan for an area west and northwest of First and Main known as Downtown Phase II. The plan provides recommendations for transforming this area into a more vibrant and connected part of downtown.

The formal planning effort began in October 2013. Two ad hoc committees, one working on the overall plan and another focused on downtown, worked on the plan with planning consultants from Houseal, Lavigne Associates and City staff. With interviews citizens and business owners, workshops, open houses, on line surveys, and other public input methods hundreds of citizens participated in the planning process.
