Alcohol and drug addiction, particularly to heroin, continues to increase throughout Summit County and across the country.

 Hudson Community First, the Hudson City School District and the City of Hudson have partnered in a effort to fight opioid addiction in our community. We have created informative, educational videos and programs to reduce the stigma of heroin and opioid addiction and have provided resources to those struggling with addiction and their families. Project Dawn
A community-based drug overdose prevention and education project. Participants receive training on recognizing the signs and symptoms of overdose, distinguishing between different types of overdose, performing rescue breathing, calling emergency medical services, and administering intranasal Naloxone.
