Planning to prune your trees this spring? Consider starting early and trimming them in the winter, specifically in February and March. Pruning during a tree's dormant season allows the tree to concentrate energy on recovering from the pruning and promotes rapid regrowth in the spring. It is also easier to see the architecture of the tree since leaves are not present, allowing more efficient pruning. For tips on tree pruning, click here. Questions about tree pruning?
