By the end of this week, weather permitting, contractors will be shifting traffic lanes on North Main Street, moving northbound traffic onto the new pavement on the east side of the road.
- Construction will move to the middle of the road between Clinton and Owen Brown, with north and southbound traffic moving around the middle lane of construction. Delays are anticipated as people adjust to the new traffic pattern. Work in the middle lane is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
- No left turns: When the construction is in the middle lane, there will be no left turns both north and southbound in the area between Clinton Street to Owen Brown. Detour signs for those wanting to access to the east side stores in that area will be posted.
- Aurora Street is now open to two-way traffic this week. While there may still be some construction near the curb areas, two-way traffic will be maintained.
- Only right turns into or out of Clinton and Aurora streets: The shift of construction to the middle lane will not allow travel from Clinton Street through to Aurora Street, and vice versa.
