[ARCHIVED] City Announces Low Fixed Rate for Natural Gas Endorsement Program

Constellation

Hudson officials would like to announce they have again chosen Constellation Energy Gas Choice, Inc. (“Constellation”) to provide residents and small businesses with low-cost natural gas supply following a competitive bidding process under the state’s natural gas choice, governmental aggregation program. A $3.39 per Mcf rate has been set for gas consumed for the November 2017 through October 2019 bill cycles.

City Manager Jane Howington said, “We are pleased to secure a low rate for our residents and small businesses. Constellation’s fixed rate is more competitive than other current, comparable term offers listed on Public Utilities Commission of Ohio comparison charts and will help residents control their natural gas costs for the next two years.”

Hudson residents should expect to receive a notice from Constellation in the mail in early September. Residents currently enrolled in the Constellation program will automatically receive the reduced rate in the November 2017 bill cycle. Those who want to join the Constellation program will receive information explaining the rate, terms and conditions, and various methods of enrolling in the City’s natural gas program. Constellation recommends that residents look for this letter and follow its simple instructions to enroll by phone, mail, fax, or through the Internet at www.constellation.com/oh-hudson.

“Constellation is proud to offer residents and small businesses in the City of Hudson price certainty and the hassle-free, low rates we offer all customers,” said Kevin Klages, Senior Vice President for Constellation. “As a national energy leader with deep roots in serving Ohio’s residential, commercial/industrial and governmental customers, we look forward to providing natural gas supply and a range of competitive products to Hudson’s residential and small business customers.”

The City is pleased to make this program possible but asks that residents not call the City offices. Residents are asked to contact Constellation toll free at 1-844-516-5253 if they have questions.

This offer is sold by Constellation Energy Gas Choice, Inc., an independent natural gas supplier licensed by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, license No. 02-021G(6). Constellation’s price does not include any taxes, utility distribution charges or other utility fees, charges or credits.
