What began as the annual Hudson Police Department No-Shave November turned into No-Shave December as Hudson Officers continued growing beards to donate money to the Summit County Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center and the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties.
Sixteen Hudson Police Officers participated in November, and 11 threw away their razors in December. As a result, $675 has been donated to these organizations.
The Summit County Chaplaincy Center provides cost-free council, care and comfort to assist police and fire personnel in Summit County. The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties works to prevent domestic abuse by providing emergency shelter, advocacy and education throughout Summit and Medina County.
