Ohio's bow-hunting deer season begins September 29, 2018 and will run through February 3, 2019. Controlled deer hunting with bow and arrow or crossbow are the only types of hunting permitted in Hudson. Bow hunting is permitted on areas of at least five acres. Hunters must have a Hudson hunting permit to hunt on any property in Hudson. A landowner does not need a permit to allow people to hunt on his land, providing his land meets the requirements set forth in the Hudson Ordinance. For more information, including how to apply for a hunting permit, visit the Deer Hunting page.
During the 2018-2019 hunting season, hunting will not be permitted on the City-owned property at 996 Hines Hill Road. In preparation for Downtown Phase II, the City of Hudson's Service Department moved its service yard to the Hines Hill property from its previous location in the Downtown Phase II area. Due to safety concerns since the Service Department needs access to the property at all hours, the decision was made to prohibit hunting on the Hines Hill property this season. Please check back on the Bow Hunting on City-Land page next season for the status of hunting on this property. Thank you for your cooperation.
