Hudson’s newest addition to Veterans Way Park is a Gaga Ball pit that was donated, built, and installed by the Hudson Community First Youth Board. Gaga Ball is a variant of dodgeball that is played in a Gaga pit. The game combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the objective of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the knee. The pit, located near the pavilion, is now open for play.
The City appreciates the Hudson Community First Youth Board donation of $1,600 to bring this popular game to the Hudson parks. The wooden pit, filled with limestone gravel, will be open for play seasonally and will not be cleared of snow or ice during the winter.
