Greg Andrego, Golf Course Pro at the City’s Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club, recently received the Northern Ohio Section of the Professional Golf Association’s Youth Player Development Award for 2018.
This PGA Junior Golf Leader Award recognized the PGA professional who is a leader in junior golf and who reflects the ideals of those who work with youth, such as involvement in the promotion and development of junior golf at the club level, and support of National junior golf programs. It also recognizes proven interest, concern, and the ability to provide opportunities and experience for juniors to learn and play golf.
Greg is the head golf professional at the City-owned and operated Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club. A former college baseball standout at Baldwin-Wallace University (Class of ’94), Greg started his golf career as the assistant manager of Boston Hills Golf Course in 1994. He earned his PGA Class A certification in 2000. Greg provides quality instruction to golfers at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club through both private lessons and clinics.
