Hudson leaf collection crews have completed 99% of the Northeast Quadrant with only three streets remaining: Woodacre, Valerie between Leeway and Woodacre, and the east side of Holyoke. These roads will be completed by noon on Monday since the snow prevented pickup today. The Southwest Quadrant was completed a few days ago.
As soon as the Northeast Quadrant is finished, we will move crews to the final round in the Northwest and Southeast quadrants. This will include Darrow Road north of SR 303 and SR 303 east of Darrow Road.
So far this leaf season, our crews have collected over 13,000 cubic yards of leaves. This the fourth most productive leaf season with two more quadrants to go. It is also our toughest. Rain, ice, snow, cold and shear volume have really impacted our efforts, so we thank you for your patience as we work to complete final leaf collection. We hope to finish the program within a week or two.
