The Hudson Police Department will be holding Metro SWAT team training on January 16, 2019, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the vacant City-owned buildings scheduled for demolition at the corner of Owen Brown Street and Morse Road. The training will include much police activity and some explosive breaching at the site. If you see police activity and hear noise from this location, it is part of the training exercises.
Metro SWAT is an organization comprised of local area police departments and is activated to assist participating police departments when needed for performing high-risk operations, barricaded suspects, and hostage rescue, among other responsibilities. Hudson has several officers who are assigned to the SWAT team and train with other SWAT members.
