Wolves? No. Coyotes? Probably. A recent social media post mentioned the possibility of wolves in Hudson. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources there have been no reports of wolves in Northeast Ohio. More likely, they were coyotes, which are growing larger and can resemble wolves or dogs.
We are in the height of the coyote mating season, when they are more active. While usually not aggressive to humans, they can be dangerous for small dogs and other smaller animals. Larger dogs also can become victims when several coyotes are together. It is best not to leave your pets outside unattended, particularly overnight.
