Can't make it to the polls May 7? Vote Absentee.

Can't make it to the ballot on May 7? Let your voice be heard by voting with an Absentee Ballot. Simply fill out an absentee ballot application, available online on the Summit County Board of Elections Website, or pick up an application at Hudson's Municipal Services Center at 115 Executive Parkway, Suite 400 or directly at the Summit County Board of Elections.  Mail the application form to the Board of Elections and they will send you a ballot.  Here's some information from the Board of Elections.

  • Download the application form here.
  • Mail-in Applications must be received by noon on the Saturday prior to the election you wish to vote in.
  • Voters should request an absentee ballot as early as possible in order to meet the return deadline.
  • If you change your mind and want to vote in person at the polls, you will be required to vote a provisional ballot that can not be counted until at least 11 days after the election.
  • If you return your ballot by mail, it must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day or postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and received by the Summit County Board of Elections no later than 10 days after the election.

You can also vote through in-person early voting at the Summit County Board of Elections, 500 Grant Ave., Akron, OH 44311 beginning Tuesday, April 9, 2019.  For a calendar of days and hours for early voting at the Board of Elections, click here.
