Thank you to all those who attended the City's three work sessions held to gather suggestions for modifications to the Downtown Phase II plan. A list of comments received during those sessions and by email can be viewed on the City's website (click here for list).
Council has not yet made any determinations regarding as to whether it would recommend proceeding with a modified version of Downtown Phase II. Council will begin discussions of the comments at the Council Workshop on June 11. The format of City Council Workshops does not provide for public comments.
As you may be aware, we have had trouble with our equipment that allows us to live stream Council meetings, and we have ordered new parts to repair our system. Due to equipment issues, we will not be able to live stream Tuesday's Workshop, but the video will be available for viewing on our website on Wednesday. The video can be viewed by clicking on the June 4, 2019 Workshop video link here.
No date has been determined for a Council decision about Downtown Phase II.
If Council decides to move a modified plan forward, there would be many steps required before it could become a reality. Any modified plan would go again before Planning Commission, the Architectural and Historic Board of Review, and City Council for review and approval.
