HUDSON, OH (September 25, 2019) – The purchase of the former PASCO building on Terex Road for a new City Hall provides a building with nearly double the size of a new building, at less than half the cost (including renovations). It not only will allow the City to eliminate the cost of leased space for city offices but will have enough space for five community rooms available for use by residents.
With the renovations nearing completion this fall, on October 8 Hudson City Council will discuss options for rental procedures and requirements and the types of activities that could be held in those spaces. Legislation authorizing the purchase of tables and chairs for the community rooms will be on the agenda for the October 1 Council Meeting.
Five community rooms are planned for the lower level of the new City Hall. One is a small, auditorium space with approximately 50 seats. A smaller 20-seat meeting room also will be available. The third room is large enough for 204 seats, with partitions to break the larger room into 3 separate rooms with 72 seats each. The goal is to have the rooms available for rental after the first of the year.
