HUDSON, OH (May 6, 2020) – At the May 6 Council meeting, Hudson City Council discussed creating a sub-committee to move forward on reviewing and updating the current City-wide Connectivity Plan. Council members emphasized the need for residents in each City Ward to be represented on the committee that will be created. Council also discussed the importance of gathering citizen input and determining priorities, goals, and metrics criteria for the Plan.

The Connectivity Plan was first developed in 2013 to bring together a variety of disparate plans into one unified approach. The committee formed at that time looked at trail and sidewalk segments throughout the City to enhance connectivity to the downtown, neighborhoods, and parks. Various segments were identified and ranked based on priority and cost. The Plan was updated in 2018.

Council Ward representatives will work on selecting individuals in their wards for representation on the committee. Council will establish the committee and will seek citizen input regarding the Plan throughout the committee review and revision process.
