A Message from Police Chief Tabak

HPD New Cruiser

We are aware of the statement that the Streetsboro Police put out about rumors of violence in Northeast Ohio. This was due in part to an anticipated protest at the Ravenna Court House, which borders their jurisdiction in Portage County.  While a small protest did take place, it was peaceful and ended without incident.  While we have received no information of any threats to Hudson, we are aware of the situation and continue to monitor and remain vigilant should the situation change. The safety and well being of our citizens and businesses are of utmost importance to us. I, along with the Hudson Police Department, are in ongoing contact with surrounding agencies and will continue to monitor the situation.

Chief Tabak will be participating in tomorrow’s City Council Meeting to provide an update to Council.
