Open House for Upcoming Partial Bridge Replacement Project;

Sr 91 S Bridge Replacement Map

Public Information Meeting

The Ohio Department of Transportation and City of Hudson will be holding an open house public meeting about the partial bridge replacement project on S. Main Street just south of Yours Truly. The open house will be held at the Barlow Community Center on July 14th, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. At the meeting, staff from ODOT, the project design consultant, and City will discuss the project and answer questions from interested property owners and residents.

Project Details

Due to the condition of the existing bridge, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) have proposed to replace the western portion of the bridge on State Route 91 (Darrow Road) over a tributary of Brandywine Creek located just south of the Yours Truly restaurant (reference map below). The proposed improvements will require a 16-day road closure of SR 91 at the bridge. A detour will be in place during the road closure. The project will not have any significant environmental impacts or private property impacts.

The project also includes the introduction of an eight foot wide, multipurpose path on the west side of the roadway along with new curbing and asphalt resurfacing. No permanent impacts to adjacent, private properties are anticipated.

Project Schedule

The project is in final stages of design but not scheduled for construction until summer of 2023 and is expected to last approximately 2 months.
