Host and producer of Good Day in Hudson (GDH) since 2000, Frank Youngwerth has warmly welcomed hundreds of guests representing all aspects of the Hudson community. Each year his show has honored a Good Day in Hudson Citizen of the Year.
For the tireless effort and support he has provided to Hudson Community Television (HCTV) over the years, the City has named the HCTV Studio, located at Hudson High School, in his honor.
Joining the HCTV Advisory Committee in 1998 and serving as chair for 4 1/2 years, Frank has enthusiastically supported the growth and mission of HCTV by producing and hosting The Golf Clinic, the annual on-site coverage of Hudson Junior Invitational Golf Tournaments, HCTV’s Veterans’ Oral Histories, in-depth Hudson Profiles, Hudson Summer Music Festival concerts, and countless other programs.
Frank has been successful in raising significant funds for HCTV through his longtime GDH sponsors: Burton D. Morgan Foundation, Peg’s Foundation, Hudson Community Foundation, Laurel Lake Foundation, and The Learned Owl Book Shop.
Always inspired to share the good news of the great people and events of Hudson, Frank has generously created a legacy at HCTV, contributing his time, talent, creativity, and passion to the success of the station.
In deep appreciation of Frank Youngwerth’s contributions, the HCTV studio was named in his honor on December 13, 2021. As Frank often says, “It’s always a good day in Hudson!”
