The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch (UPDATE: This has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning) in effect from Wednesday evening through Friday morning. Heavy mixed precipitation is possible, including ice, snow, and sleet, with total snow and sleet accumulations of several inches possible. The City of Hudson is prepped and ready to handle the upcoming winter storm.
Prior to the storm, we are expecting a quick thaw on Tuesday and Wednesday. With the amount of snow currently on the ground, a large amount of runoff is possible. Please make sure your culverts are clear of debris so we can keep our storm water system flowing, and also check that your sump pumps are working correctly.
Please keep an eye on the weather forecast this week so you are prepared. The FEMA app is a great resource for up-to-date winter weather alerts from the National Weather Service and for emergency preparedness.
