Correspondence and Council Comments
- BZBA meeting heard once regarding a medical facility on Seasons Road.
- Park Board. Golf revenues are higher than anticipated.
- The Environmental Awareness Committee’s Composting survey is live on Let’s Talk Hudson website.
- Council member would like to see long-term unfunded projects listed in the budget. Currently they are listed as “unfunded,” but staff will work with Council on provided more information.
- Council reminded residents to slow down and pay attention to pedestrians when driving through the downtown area.
- Council reminded that the Vincent Baran Day is Saturday.
- Splott Graphic held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new location in Hudson.
Report of Interim City Manager
- The Splash Pad is closed for the season. Fall projects underway, including the SR 91 project near Drug Mart. The Tennis/Pickleball Courts construction is going well. The Middleton Road sidewalk project is underway as well as the trail near Ellsworth Meadows. Capital budgeting will begin next week. The guidelines for leased space in City facilities will be discussed at Council Workshop next week. Staff is also researching Senior Programs offered by other communities and will present that information to Council.

- Ordinance to adopt a monthly transparency in expenses report. Council discussed and directed staff to include the report with the Monthly Financial Report. Staff will provide it for the next few months and tweak it based on Council’s input for a final decision at the end of the year.

Consent Agenda
Council passed the following Consent Agenda items. Passed 7-0.
- Motion to acknowledge receipt of the August 2022 Monthly Finance Report.
- Resolution to enter a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation to complete the SR 91 Bridge Replacement Project.
- Resolution to approve Then and Now Certificates.
- Resolution to enter a police services agreement with the Hudson School District for Police presence in the schools.

- Resolution adopting Official City Policy governing the exhibition of flags on flag poles at City government facilities and City-owned properties. Third reading. Passed 7-0.
- Resolution to enter a professional services contract with OHM Advisors to research, help facilitate and prepare the City’s 2023 comprehensive Plan. Third reading. Passed 7-0.
- Ordinance adopting guidelines for the use or rental of space at City Hall or other City property. First reading.
- Ordinance amending Codified Ordinance Sections 402.38 and 660.05 regulating the maintenance of sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.

- Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of Bonds in the maximum principal amount of $2,340,000 for paying costs of installing and providing sidewalks along Middleton Road. First reading.
