In 2022, City Council voted to amend the ward boundaries of Hudson to equalize the population among the four wards. This decision was made following 2020 Census data that reflected a population change, especially an increase in the Ward 2 population. The City Charter requires redistricting of the wards when there is a population change. What does this mean for residents?
A total of 579 residents previously included in Ward 2 have been moved to either Ward 1 or Ward 4. The red areas on the map below indicate the areas that have changed wards. If your ward has changed, you now have a different Council representative and would make candidate selections for your new ward in any upcoming elections. It is also possible that your polling location has changed. If you are in the red striped area on the map, visit the Summit County Board of Elections website to look up your voting information and see your new ward and/or polling location.
