The City of Hudson completed installing new train signs at the Hines Hill Railroad Crossing recently. The train signs serve the crucial purpose of offering travelers a timely alert about potential train blockages at the grade crossing on Hines Hill Road. By providing advance warning, these signs empower drivers to modify their routes, particularly during emergencies, thereby avoiding being halted or obstructed by passing trains. The initial request for these signs and camera stemmed from City Council's request of mitigating the risk of emergency vehicles being halted at the crossing. Additionally, the signs enhance visibility of the crossing for our dispatch center, enabling them to promptly notify the relevant parties if the crossing becomes blocked.
