Each summer, Summit County Public Health (SCPH) sprays for mosquitoes in Hudson and surrounding communities to prevent the spread of West Nile Virus. SCPH testing often uncovers mosquito pools that test positive for West Nile Virus. To date this year, there are no recorded cases of West Nile cases in humans in Summit County. The spraying is precautionary to prevent the spread of West Nile into the human population.
