The City’s Leaf Collection Program begins October 23 and runs through the week of November 27. Collection is done based on dividing the City into Quadrants. While there are a few exceptions, in general, SR 91 divides east from west, and West Streetsboro Street divides north and south.
Have your leaves raked to the tree lawn close to the street by 7 a.m. on the Monday morning of your Quadrant’s week. Leaves placed after the truck has gone by will wait until the next leaf collection week in your neighborhood.
Where do I place my leaves?
Place leaves in the tree lawn area — parallel to the street on the street edge or behind the curb. Please avoid placing leaves in the street, ditches, and gutters, or near obstacles, such as parked vehicles, trees, mailboxes, fire hydrants, and streetlights, that will be in the way of the trucks.
Can I park my car on the street during leaf collection?
No. Please refrain from parking on the street during your leaf collection week.
Will crews pick up branches, logs and yard debris?
No. Debris such as garden materials, brush, tree branches and twigs, grass clippings, cans, paper, bottles, construction materials, etc. damage the equipment and can injure leaf collection personnel. Your leaves will not be collected if these items are mixed in with the leaves.
A yellow/white door hanger was left on my door and my leaves are still in my yard. What can I do?
Check the location of your leaf piles. Are the leaves in a row along the edge of the street free of branches, yard waste, debris and obstructions? Please make sure your leaves are placed close enough to the street that our truck vacuums can reach them. Move any objects (such as basketball hoops, etc.) away from the end of the driveway and tree lawn. Our crews will be back the next scheduled pickup week and collect properly placed leaves at that time.
