On August 1, Hudson City Council amended the Traffic Code to address a change in parking on both sides of the roadway on E. Barlow Road between Ogilby Drive and Terex Road and along the west side of the roadway on N. Hayden Parkway. Based on resident requests for No Parking designation during events at Barlow Farm Park, it has been determined that on-street parking along E. Barlow Road between Ogilby Drive and Terex Road decreases site lines and increases the chance of accidents. In October 2022, TMS Engineering completed a traffic safety study which provided recommendations to improve both vehicle and pedestrian safety along N. Hayden Parkway between Hudson Aurora Street and E. Streetsboro Street. These recommendations found by TMS Engineering recommended that the city install No Parking signs at the school entrances on the west side of N. Hayden to ensure that adequate site distances are maintained during school hours when traffic is most congested. The No Parking signs have been installed.
