The City of Hudson and Hudson Community Foundation (HCF) are partnering to host a special winter fireworks display in downtown Hudson on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 2.
“We see this as an opportunity to bring our community together for a family-oriented downtown event at a time of year when the green is festively lit for the holidays and our residents are looking for fun outdoor activities,” said HCF President Amy Jordan. “Moreover, this provides a chance for everyone to shop, dine and celebrate in our vibrant downtown area, supporting local merchants and restaurants that make Hudson unique and special.”
As a community partner deeply invested in this local event, Hudson Community Foundation generously donated 100% of the cost of the winter fireworks to contribute to the overall expense of the fireworks from American Fireworks.
Fireworks will be set off by Hudson-based American Fireworks Company shortly after dusk – at approximately 6:30 p.m. – in a protected area near Veterans Way Park. The best spots for viewing the fireworks display safely will be in the downtown area, including the First & Main Green, the historic greens at SR 91 and SR 303, public sidewalks, and public parking lots in the area of downtown. The best places to park will be the public parking lots downtown, the parking terrace, on street parking areas.
Founded in 2000, Hudson Community Foundation’s mission is to enhance the overall quality of life in the Hudson area by increasing charitable giving, educating, and connecting donors to community needs and leading on community issues. The foundation, supported by hundreds of local donors and Donor Advised Funds, operates from an office in the historic Baldwin House on Hudson’s village green and is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
