Hudson City Manager Jane Howington today announced the appointment of James M. Stifler as the new Hudson Economic Development Director. He was appointed to fill the position being vacated by Chuck Wiedie who will retire at the end of June.
Stifler brings 34 years of business experience to the position, including his expertise in developing strategic partnerships, relationship building and retention. Most recently, he was Head of Client Retention with Empower Retirement out of Denver, Colorado. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Jim has been a Hudson, Ohio resident for 23 years and has been actively involved in many local community organizations, as well as being a Special Trustee for Western Reserve Academy.
He begins his employment with the City today, and will work closely with Chuck Wiedie during the next few weeks before Chuck retires June 30.
