Going on vacation this summer? Make sure your home will be safe and secure while you’re gone. The Hudson Police Department offers a Vacation Watch Program during which officers will periodically check the security of your home while you’re away.
Vacation Watch requests can be submitted via submission of an online form at the link below, or at the Hudson Police Department, 36 S. Oviatt Street. It is extremely important to indicate on the form whether or not you have someone scheduled to pick up your mail, newspapers, expected packages, and/or to perform pet care duties. Security checks will not be performed in this case as officers do not want to surprise those caring for the house, but you may still submit a request so the Police Department will know when you’re on vacation and who to contact while you’re away in case of an emergency.
The Vacation Watch Program is only available to those who will be out of town less than 30 days. Questions? Call the Hudson Police Department at 330-342-1800 for more information.
