Interested in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician? Fall classes at the top-rated Hudson Emergency Medical Services (EMS) School start August 30th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday and on some Saturdays through December 13 at the Hudson Safety Center.
The cost for the class is $875 and includes books, equipment, and the National Registry test fee. In addition to classes, instruction includes actual patient practice as students go out on calls with Hudson EMS crews to gain hands-on patient experience. During the program, students learn to assess patient conditions, make care judgements, and follow correct protocols in communication with emergency room physicians at area hospitals.
Did you know Hudson EMS will pay for your class tuition if you apply to become a Hudson EMS volunteer prior to classes? Hudson EMS is always looking for new volunteers to join the team. The City of Hudson relies on a mostly volunteer Emergency Medical Services Department to respond to more than 1,500 emergency medical calls each year.
