UPDATE: Only four spots left for the 11 a.m. workshop! The 9 a.m. workshop is full. Register now.
We've added a Rain Barrel Workshop to Green on the Green this year. Participants will learn how to make and use a rain barrel at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17 on the Gazebo Green. The cost is $40 and includes a rain barrel with an overflow connection.
To register, click the registration form link below, fill out the form, and return the form and payment to the Public Works Department no later than September 9, 2016. Spots are limited, so register soon.
Why would you want a rain barrel? Rain barrels not only conserve water, but also help filter out pollutants and prevent erosion and flooding. The use of a rain barrel will also generate savings on water and sewer bills and may result in credits toward storm water fees.
